Anna Tadio
My name is Anna Tadio. I am running for reelection to the Rutland City Board of Aldermen because I care deeply about the future of my hometown. I will continue working hard every day to make sure Rutland residents have a voice at the table in city government. I will listen to my constituents and work to build consensus to ensure that Rutland businesses and residents have a place to thrive. It is important that we support small businesses, prioritize job opportunities that provide a livable wage, manage our city budget wisely, and work diligently to continue to grow Rutland as a healthy place for our families to live.
During my first term on the Board I have helped secure grants for Rutland, worked to improve public safety, and championed initiatives to make our city more environmentally friendly. I love Rutland and I am dedicated to working to make this a city where everyone feels safe and welcome.
Eddie Grove
As a professional artist and avid mountain biker, I’ll bring a unique perspective to the Board of Aldermen focused on persevering and expanding our outdoor recreation and attractions, alternative transportation options, town beautification, and support for local businesses.
I chose Rutland as my home because I believe it has the most potential of any city in Vermont. Having lived in some of the most overdeveloped suburban landscapes in the country, I have a deep appreciation for what makes this city and state unique and worth protecting. I also believe we can make Rutland more economically & environmentally sustainable while being a welcoming and accessible community for everyone.
Matt Whitcomb
For five years, I championed responsible leadership on the Rutland City Board of Aldermen, including two proud terms as President. Now, I seek your vote to secure a brighter, safer future for our community. As your Alderman, I'll prioritize fiscal responsibility, ensuring every dollar spent yields maximum benefit for Rutland. My focus will be on building a robust capital fund for long-term infrastructure investments and essential services. I am committed to investing in our well-being and will tirelessly work to build and strengthen our police department and support our community agencies. I am dedicated to building a vibrant future and will passionately advocate for economic growth. I'll champion policies that spur small business development, attract market-rate housing, and expand both physical and digital infrastructure, propelling Rutland to thrive.
As your Alderman, I’ll be an unrelenting advocate for our community, bridging the gap between City Hall and residents. I believe in collaboration, working hand-in-hand with all stakeholders to build a Rutland where opportunity flourishes and families can prosper. Michael Talbott
During my two terms on the Board of Aldermen, I have championed initiatives to enhance Rutland City’s economic viability and attract new residents. Drawing on my skills as a professor of communication, I help tell Rutland’s story and ensure that our city is a place that people want to live, play, and do business.
In my role as Board President, I’ve worked to foster a sense of respect and collegiality among board members, and a welcoming environment for the public who join our meetings. I am always ready to listen to the ideas and concerns of our community members. When I cannot immediately offer resolution, I work with and support those who might be able to help. I’ve traveled to Montpelier and spoken with our governor and legislative leaders to advocate for the needs of our city. I’ve met with those who represent our state in congress, and hosted the heads of key state agencies during visits to Rutland so they can see our needs firsthand. I have given many early mornings and late nights to the important work of serving this city as a member of the Board of Aldermen over the past few years, and I hope to be able to continue for another term. When you vote on March 5, I hope that you will vote for kind, thoughtful individuals dedicated to a vibrant, forward-thinking Rutland. I hope you’ll vote Michael Talbott for Alderman.
